Get Back Book

Post by jamie »

I just picked up a copy of the Get Back Book from EBay but suspect it may have missing pages since I find no text on any of the pages except the text which is the beginning credits that alludes to there being text in the rest of the book!

How many pages should this book have and Where there actual interviews in this book?

The black Get Back book has mostly pictures but also has the transcript of an interview with the Beatles. The first set of interview text is 14 pages and the last set towards the end of the book is 6 pages.

Hope this helps...

Well...if you've ever been stuck in a hotel room without rolling papers, you know how handy the blank pages at the end of the Gideon Bible can be. They're not gummed or anything, but they're just the right thickness. Blank pages are definitely better than missing ones.

Thanks Karen it helps in that I know I'm definitely missing pages which I suspected :-(

The seller did include the number of pages (61) the book had in the description though not a hint as to the fact that number wasn't the correct number of pages.

Oh well, I still got it for a fair price and can probably just remove a few of the pages for framing or something and eventually find a copy that is fully intact. I could ask for a refund but I really want to hang on to this even though it's not complete.

The photos are great and it answered my question of whether the Twins had blackline faceplates and the early SF grillcloth.

Return it. I'd rather have the entire book intact. Not sure if you got a copy of the original because I've seen copies floating around.

Dane- You probably qualify to have your own section here in the Ric Forum lol!

Don- I believe it's a copy that I got as I did investigate this as much as I could after the fact. No doubt it's old and smells like its been in a basement and has old worn pricing pencil marks on the inside cover when it was most likely sold in a used bookstore.

I probably should write to the seller and inquire about a refund and see how they react. Its my own fault for not paying more attention to what I was buying and asking questions beforehand. Probably one of the reasons I got the book at the price I did.
