Where to Buy Used Online?

Post by indytone »

The stock of used Rickenbackers in Indianapolis is few and far between, so I'm looking online for trustworthy places to shop for a Rickenbacker 330 or 360 (haven't decided yet). I'm always looking on eBay, but I'm sure there's some actual shops online that have used Ricks. I know Ed Roman has a large stock, but I've read a bit about his shop and been told to stay clear.

Three I've had good luck with–
1) Pick of the Ricks: http://www.pickofthericks.com
2) Mike Parks: http://www.the-music-connection.com/ric.htm
3) Rhoads Music: http://members.aol.com/rhoadsmusi/store.html

Hope this helps.

Indy,

Also it's worth trying the wanted section here at The Rickenbacker Forum.

Many of these fine folks have made some very satisfing transactions. A classy group of people all around.

Thanks everyone. I just finished calling literally every music store in Indianapolis and the surrounding area and absolutely no one has anything used aside from a few 650 models here and there.

I'm steering clear of vintage Ricks because I simply don't have the money for them -- I just need that Rick tone. I've applied for a membership on the Vox Talk forums to check out their classifieds, but haven't received my password yet.

Great people. Good service. Get your credit card ready.

Wow! Check out the turquoise 381V69 at Dave's Guitars! I am partial to figured tops on these, but this one is gorgeous!
