OPENING NIGHT ..Macca Review
Typically stage trap doors are about 15ft from the floor below. That is still a long way for the man to fall. He must be in good shape.

He joked about it last night at the Philly show.
It was the trap door for his piano, and it was about 3 feet.
So much for that horrible review.
The show was a total knockout. Paul may have been a little flat on some songs, but he managed to pull off a great show with lots of energy.
Penny Lane sent chills down my spine. It sounded like the rest of the lads where with him.
I would be surprised if any Macca fans are disappointed.
I was lucky enough to see him arrive around 5:30 for the sound check. He came in with a police escort, arriving in a black Lexus. There may have been about 20 of us standing along the side entrance when he pulled in. He stopped in front of us for a few seconds rolled the back window down and waved and yelled at us.
I must say, he looks a lot better close up than some of the unflattering aging pictures of him lately.
He had his cell phone in one hand while he wave with the other. Looks pretty darn good for a 63 year old rocker.
What a night !

Buy it before someone else does.
Bob,
I'm glad that it was a good show. Remember, a few comments back that I thought you would end up thinking that your money was well spent. It never does pay to listen to critics.

I would have loved to hear him do "Penny Lane" live. Dunno about the rest.
Critics are there to feed our preconceptions, it seems, and in the absence of that, to create controversy...
Thinking for ourselves is good advice, and the boys gave it to us back in '65.
In the supermarket today I heard "Live and Let Die". Ugh.

Anka's Diana was a great single. He was not always the antithesis of what is currently considered to be cool.
Not one of my favorites but still deserves considerable respect for his achievements. He's considered to be a Canadian music icon.
