Yes, the piano scene from "Imagine" was indeed shot at Tittenhurst Park (a Georgian-style mansion). This was the house John bought after he left Cynthia for Yoko. Sometime after the move to New York City, I believe the property was purchased by Ringo.

His previous home was called 'Kenwood' (a mock Tudor house in Weybridge). He bought this house in 1965 and lived there until shortly after his return from India in 1968. He would have been living here when he wrote "I Am The Walrus". A large upstairs space at 'Kenwood' was fitted out as a home studio with the walls painted blood red.

Now that I think about it, Tittenhurst Park wan't in London, was it? I think McCartney was the only Beatle living in London during the final years of the group.

OK Andrew, you were correct London it was. The following information was lifted from a website in the UK.

TITTENHURST PARK
Located in Sunningdale, Berkshire the owner is Zayed al-Nahyan and the rough value for the property is £30 million.

It was here that John Lennon played the piano in his moving Imagine video in the white drawing room. In 1969 Lennon bought the house for just £145,000.

Lennon sold it to Ringo Starr in 1971 who then sold it to the current owners in 1988 for £5 million. It is set in 72 acres, and was also the setting for The Beatles' final photo session.

Andrew: Yes. Although John and Yoko lived for a short while during 1968 in a small London basement apartment belonging to Ringo (once occupied by Jimi Hendrix), Paul was the only Beatle making his home in London. His house on Cavendish (sp?) Ave in St. John's Wood was a short walk from EMI Abbey Road studios. I believe he still owns this house. Paul broke ranks with the other Beatles when Brian Epstein instructed them to all buy homes outside London, but close enough to commute easily. John and Ringo bought their homes in Weybridge, 'Kenwood' and 'Sunnyside' (or something like that) respectively. George bought a house in nearby Esher called 'Kinfauns'. Paul refused to move to the suburbs.

Paul bought a house in St. John's Wood, a short walk from the Abbey Road studios and, indeed, he would walk to work in those days...

7 Cavendish Avenue. Nobody was home when I went by. It is about a block and a half from Abbey Road.

He wasn't at MPL in Soho either.

I waved over the fence at Richard Nixon's house in Upper Saddle River, N.J. during a lunch hour in the early eighties...no response, though.

It was all just for laughs, but I'm sure I was appearing in several sets of crosshairs at that moment...

Under circumstances like that it's very hard to see a red dot on the centre of your own forehead. I'll bet there was one there though Dane. Great story. Pretty risky action on your part.

Nobody in the backyard. The house was closed up pretty tight. No answer when I rang the doorbell either. In fact he was in America at the time. The lady at MPL says that Paul is only there about twice a year unless he is being interviewed.
