Paul gave the Wham Rick to Steve Craddock his guitarist on his birthday, who records with it every so often.

As far as I was aware Steve still had it the last time I spoke to him, which was just over a year ago!

I know there is someone on the Forum who posted pics of himself with the guitar, and possibly a different guitar he bought from Paul.

I've got a fireglo Rickenbacker 330, NG4292 which used to belong to Paul Weller of The Jam. It has the words "I AM NOBODY" scratched into the paint work. There are plenty of photos about of Weller playing this guitar. I bought it from him in 1980.

Didnt Paul Weller give the all black 330 that he used almost exclusively in the later Jam years to Steve Cradock as well?Lucky $%^&**!!

I love the 'I am nobody' 330 too.Steve,if you ever want to sell it, and I fully realise you probably never will, let me know!

Joe he owns both, he was given the Jam Rickenbacker first years ago on his birthday, then about 5 years after that he was given the black 330.

I believe he owns a few others too.

Saw the Jam at JB Scotts in Smallbany NY, from the front of the stage, elbows on the wood, front and center. One of the first real bands I ever saw. Was 15 I think (old drinking age was 18, so it was much easier to pass for old enough then). Was supprised at how many strings PW broke. Seemed to recall that every song, he was switching guitars and the tech would restring the broken string, and ready it for the next swap. HiWatt amps too. Still memorable in what is probably nearing 30 years ago.

That's a great story Bob. While I've seen Paul Weller a few times, I wish I had been old enough to see The Jam in their heyday. Or for that matter alive to see "The Kinks" and "The Who" in 1965!
