Yes, The area has been filled in for the replacement bridge.

How much of a cavity needs to be cut out, Is it for the full thing or just the part under the bridge saddles?

Just the part under the saddles. It's not very deep. You should be able to get a measurement from the bridge. You can see the shape from the photo above.

Thats not the same bridge assembly that was on ebay,thats an allparts.

Basically nothing,the all parts has a skinnier mute pad and some minor little differences and the chrome isn't that good,but works very well,Sorry I got you confused with someone else.
