Gerry,
That Fireglo fretless is gorgeous, should you ever decide to sell she'd make a fine partner for my other 72 !!!

Morrow, The neck is the same width as my 96 4003 at the first and last fret. It feels like it might be slightly thicker but when I look at them both they appear to be the same... might be the same thickness but with a slightly different neck shape.

A question for the forum...

Is John's case correct?

I thought the lining should be blue. A lot of my old Ric's came with that same lining, and I was always told that it was for a Fender, and not the original case.

Great looking bass BTW

John ,very nice ,but kill the guy who put the thumb rest up top other then that it looks fantastic.congrats.[those holes can be filled and done by a good Luther]

Dave, most of the early 70s Ric cases had a red lining.

Ric used this type of case most of the time from the late 60's until about 73. They are not that well fitting with about an inch of space when the bass lays in it.
My 68 OHSC is the same.

I second that Jared. Damn!

That is one fine bass John.
Is that black finger rest original?
I think a clear rest would look much nicer IMHO.
Buy it before someone else does.
