Before that, she was merely "the Welsh Witch" or some other nonsense...

Remember "Leather and Lace"? Unfortunately, I'll be humming it all day now. At least it won't task my Hum Range like "Live and Let Die" did yesterday.

I remember drumming through "Rhiannon" more than a few times in the mid-70's "****** cover" trio...

It provided an excellent, undistracted opportunity to go over my bar tab in my head...

When I read that I howled. Yes she was input overload on all channels. Now....... well lets be charitable and just say she is not quite as good as she used to be.

She contributed to some very nice work by a former blues band. How did they morph into a pop/rock band? That is beyond my comprehension. Did they sell out? Or did Buckingham-Nicks have that much influence? Or was Mick that enamored with Stevie? Who knows!

That incarnation of Fleetwood Mac was a mystery to me, especially at the time.

Mr Wonderful came out in 1968 back when it was a fresh and new band. Then the drama hit and they had to re-invent themselves for albums like "Tusk" and "Rumours" that came out around '77.
The best of album is great though and if anyone in this forum can play "Big Love" live like Lindsey can on that album I'd like to hear it!

Christine McVie and Brian Wilson popped into a little pub in Westwood round about '77 (?) and caught my drummer's girlfriend's trio. Made her pretty nervous. I imagine a McVie-Wilson love child would have a bit of talent.

Brian was deep in bed at the time. Christie and Dennis were an item then.

Exene Cervenka (sp?) and John Doe of X came into The Lion's Lair one night and heard our set...right after getting off stage for their show at the Ogden Theater eight blocks down Colfax Avenue. John sat at the bar and listened...Exene had to listen from the Women's Room...her ears were beat from being onstage. But she and John stayed for the whole set. They said they liked us...it made my whole month.

Brian couldn't fit into green in those days.
