No Paul I am not bidding on it. I thought about it briefly but decided against it.

It will be a nice guitar once it is restored and re-finished.

I was just looking at that auction and thinking what a shame it was....I hope it ends up with someone who can restore it to it's proper glory.

Sean, I had to go back and look FOR the toes. Your priorities are not in the proper order Image

Don't get toes and tunes confused, Phlemmy.

This sort of "customization" gives refinishing a BAD name.

It COULD BE, USED TO BE, and hopefully WILL BE AGAIN, a BEAUTY.

A perfect candidate for an aged Autumnglo or Fireglo refin. Or just MG with gold guards and ovens. Yum, yum.

Before I comment on the colorful Capri I want to direct everyone to the peghead photo.

Look at the foot in the sandal.

.....

As for the Capri, it seems quite sad to slather paint on a piece of art like that. If it were made of bakelite or plywood, it may be permissible. Looks as if they were trying to move it into the more garish side of Deco. Hopefully someone will restore this tarnished angel.

D'oh! The missing toe has already been noted. So is the big toe tuned to E or B?
