yes I can sell you a set of 5 saddles complete with screws that are ready to drop in ... no mods needed and 100% reversible ... e-mail me and I will figure out a fair price ... and if you still don't like the bass after that then I will gladly purchase it from you ... also the 4003s5 has an bridge pickup that is overwound to about 15k ohms ... this can make the 4003s5 a little thick sounding ... sometimes I put a Seymour Duncan jazz neck pickup in the mute cavity and wire it in with the neck pickup ... this adds a little bit more treble bite and it is a 100% reversible mod ...

Ken currently the saddles are not grooved ... I usually like to put them on the bass to groove them ... I like to get the maximum spacing ... I set the B and G strings about 1/16" to 1/8" to the outside of the bridge high gain pole pieces ... there is a little bit of an art to this ... too wide and you get string drop off and too narrow and you get tight spacing ... here's a picture of the uncut saddles ...

That is one beautiful bass, Ken. How many does this make now?! Did you take some sort of speed-buying course?
Say...if you're gettin' tired of that old, out-dated '72FG, let me know!
I agree about the tone on the S5's. Mine sounds brutally cool. I wonder if a 4003 would sound the same if its bridge pickup were wound as hot.
Sergio?

I actually prefer the sound of my 4003 4-2-5 basses to the 4003s5 basses ... I like 2 11k ohm high gains as opposed to a 7k ohm toaster and a 15k ohm high gain ... but the 4003s5 still sounds very good ... just a little different ... but the 4003 4-2-5 sounds a little more like a traditional 4001 ... that's why for gigging my favorite bass is this one ...
