Honestly I am not really looking to own one of these but it is a virtually guaranteed few hundred $$$$ profit for tying my money up for a few weeks. If anybody on here is interested just drop me an email. I figured I'd rather get it and sell it to someone here at a very reasonable price than see the emperor buy it and relist it for $5K.

I asked the seller for a specific pic which I always do when buying an expensive bass from an unknown seller and asked about the certificate as well although it doesn't seem to have much of an impact on value.

As a side note....some sellers get ticked when you ask for a pic after a BIN has been hit but I always figure I'd rather get negative feedback than lose $3k so I'd like to just make sure it isn't a hijacked ID or just a scam auction before sending off my money. Plus I don't really think there would have been much time before someone else snatched it up.

Your welcome Brian. I thought about the BIN but the last CS fetched $3400 and there was not enough info there for me for the asking price. If it had been a little lower I would have bought it....

If I see the Ian Fraser Cuckoo clock 4 stringer at a cheap price, I too will do a Jared. I'll fit it with an old horseshoe, and it will be offered to members Emp style. If that fails then it will hung on the wall, in my study, configured to chime on the hour...

Welcome to the club Brian. That's what I paid for mine. I agree the Emperor would have grabbed it.

Brian, nice grab...

I think once you play it, you might not be so quick on wanting to sell it.

The only Limited Edition bass your are missing now is the Glenn Frey.. I'll trade you one for your LK... Image

I don't think Brian has a redneck.

Those Glenn Frey's are rare. You don't see them around.

I only have three basses......a 4004LK, 4003s8 and 4004Ci so I don't have much at all.

I'm not a Chris Squire fan and while the cream/white looks nice it isn't as nice as white/white would be. Plus I'm more of a 4004 fan nowadays. I just bought it so someone here could get a decent deal (about what I paid) or to sell on Ebay for a slight profit. I've already received one email from an interested Forumite. I have no issue with holding on to it for a few while prices get more silly if no one is interested Image.
