Yeah, that is a nice one, I was tempted, but I'm thinking of sticking to only buying new Ricks from now on.

Those first generation 4004's are so sweet. I especially like the fact that the finish is easy to fix.

Do these MK.1 Cheyennes sound any different to the Cii?

I suppose they would slightly. For better or worse, I am unsure.

Welcome back, Ted!

I like my Ci. It has a nice warm tone thanks to the walnut. The previous owner installed concentric pots on it so each pickup has its own volume/tone control. I like that added flexibility.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

The 4004CI sounds different than the 4004CII ... the CII with the gloss finish, maple/walnut/maple sandwich, bubinga fretboard, and the different pickup location make it sound different ... The overall difference is it is brighter ...
