BBR This Year Only - What for 2006?
Moderators: rickenbrother, ajish4
For the anniversary I'm still partial to a whitewash/transparent white, with chequered binding. That would be sweet.
(hyperventilating)
What I would swoon over and will never get is Hudson purpleburst aw yeah. Orange or tangerine burst sounds intriguing...RIC have never done that right?

I'm not sure how Blond (transparent white) would look on maple. When Fender does this color it is typically over Ash so the more distinct grain shows through. I am all for a white treatment of some sort since as mentioned, 75th is alabaster. White with checkered binding and chrome/white accents. A little 75th on the pickgard to set it apart as collectable would be very cool. I'll order one right now!
No matter where you go - there you are.

I'll cast a vote for white with checkerboard binding, white PG and TRC.
Enough with the bursts. Fireglo has been around forever, and we just had BBR and Monte brown. Plus, white's the easiest color to apply, so maybe they could speed up production! (HA HA!)

Jeff...there was no Cherry Picker. There was however an Apple Krate. Jared, my "Peeler" is hanging from the ceiling in my garage. I'll have to go down and take a pic and flip it before I post it. I also have a '71 sky blue Manta Ray that's beyond perfect. Ah,the good old days....when bikes were made in the USA.

I think checkerboard binding should return all around!
I was never a big fan of white guitars in general, but I guess the white with black binding and pickguard is a classic Rick look.
I also never cared for black hardware or binding, and I don't like the black on black look either.
But that's me.
I think a 75th Anniversary bass with really figured wood and checkerboard would be cool. It could even be MG.

Ahhh, the Apple Krate! That was the red one. Thanks, Dane.
My bikes (Trek) were made in Waterloo, Wisconsin!
But I know what you're saying. There was more coolness going on in an old Schwinn Stingray than there is in today's typical Chinese-built, Wal-Mart-sold, psuedo "mountain" bikes.

"... Perhaps RIC would make classic features available on all models"
I just wish RIC would offer ½-inch spacing again! it looks so much better, and maybe I'm imagining this, but it does sound better to me with the toaster there, closer to the neck. VP option should include ½-inch spacing.
