Although I've had cats for decades, they've never managed to get inside my bass case.
However, in 1977, soon after getting my 3001, I was playing at a party when a high school classmate tripped over my empty case and spilled his beer inside. ("Oh, sorry, man! Here's a rag.") The beer left the plush lining where the body rests all clumped and stiff, and the moisture somehow made the adhesive fail, because the plush lining pulled away from the hard shell along the front edge.
I re-glued the lining (it's still holding) and did my best to clean it, and eventually (years later) the stiffness finally left and it stopped smelling like a bar.
But I still have the memories!

Hold on Chris. Back up a minute. You were playing at a party in high school...and BEER was in the room? BEER?! That's a no-no! Bad. Bad boy. Does your mother know this story? What is her email address?

The drinking laws here are quite (too?) liberal. The legal age is 18, but a minor is permitted to consume alcohol on licensed premises in the company of and with the permission of a parent or guardian, provided it is consumed with a meal.
You learn these things when you attend an RSA (Responsible Serving of Alcohol) course, which enables you to serve liquor on licensed premises.
What you do or allow in your own home is your own business, until drunken minors start wandering the streets at all hours of the night. Then you've got some explanations to make to the fuzz!!
