I used it for the first time when I refinished my 325. It looks great. How often do you apply it?

OE is repackaged petroleum mineral oil. That's oil there is to it.

I have located two different makes of Bore Oil at local music stores and both contain petroleum distillates. No luck on getting the Selmer yet. It bothers me that the composition of the oil isn't stated on the bottle, with the exception that it is toxic.

Yeah, let's bore oil into our woodwinds, and then put our lips around the top!

And who doesn't think music is a hazardous profession?

I am reminded of my music store discussions regarding Bore Oil with this rhyme from Mercer Mayer. It is not a direct quote, but close I believe.
The typhoonigator is a windy beast,
Who blows himself from west to east,
And when he has nothing else to say,
He simply blows himself away.

Paul: Just to be clear, you are not the typhoonigator. I was referring to the talk at the music stores in which folks have been rather long on explanations but short on substance when it comes to the composition of bore oil.

You mean when they have to explain most things they are short on substance.

Peter: Of course, I was kidding. Me windy? Well, blow me down, Olive!

This oil, though, must be a boring topic to most.

I gotta tell you Peter, Unless I go to my friend's
music shop, I would get a long winded sales pitch.

Form an oleagenous salesman, no doubt.
