212 combo from the 80's - Opinions?

I have the opportunity to purchase a Rickenbacker 212 combo from the 80's for $400. Any opinions on this amp? It is apparently in very good condition, but I'm unfamiliar with it. Is this even a ric amp? The person selling it is supposed to email me pictures. I'd appreciate any comment. Thanks.

Well, I'd assume that if it says Rickenbacker, it probably is. I don't know about other folks, but I like 'em and use them on the job. They sound good and they're rugged & reliable. $400 might be a bit much. I see the 2-12 combo going for about $300 in average condition. Good luck!
