12 string choices

Post by russmanuel »

Regarding Rickenbacker 12 strings of various types, what brand of string do you use?
Your suggestions are appreciated.
I'm using Pyramid's.

I put RIC strings on my 360/12v64 after I swapped the bridge. I also picked up two packs of RIC Compressed Round Wounds (10's) to put on my 370/12 after I change THAT bridge... ;-) Probably this weekend.

I have a set of D'Addario 1/2 rounds with D'Addario singles to make up the other strings .

I use a wound 3rd/G string and wound low E octave .

These are fairly easy to locate /aquire , and the singles are everywhere.

The feel is similar to all the compression wound or flat wound strings packaged for 12 strings .
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!

Have used D'Addario's, Pyramids, & Ricks on my 660-12 and the Rick strings are my favories. The D'Addario's are the worst and I won't use them again. Might try another set or two of Pyramids in the future...
