I was definitely kidding. I never picked up one of the thongs.

I will likely be wearing my well worn Rickenbacker jacket. I'm changing my cell phone number this week, and will post it here, so you guys can track me down at the show.

That's funny, Scott, I seem to remember your girlfriend at that time showing ME her Rickenbacker thong.

hmmm... I tried to get Julie to bring one home from work, but she wouldn't. She was your employee at the time, so wasn't that sexual harrassment? She's born-again now, so you can have her...

I didn't know that you are allowed to trade (ex-)partners on this forum.

so wasn't that sexual harrassment?

I didn't mention any names, but, hey, you're right, she probably WAS harassing me, wasn't she?

Actually, as I recall, one of the guys in the finish department ended up with all the excess inventory of these and bequeathed one to her. Maybe she was holding out on you.

Paint fumes and thongs, now there's a night on the town...

So are there any firm plans for this weekend at the Arlington Show?

Scott: I'm about 95% sure I'll be able to meet you in the Wyndham lobby after the show on Sunday. The show ends at 5:00 PM. Let's plan to be in the lobby from 5:00-6:00 PM.

OK, Randy, I'll plan for that.

I am planning to bring a briefcase full of old Rickenbacker goodies. I'd like to meet with anyone interested insuch things before the show on Saturday at the hotel, so I can give you guys first shot before hawking it all around the show. Vintage parts, paper, etc.

My cell phone number (which is still an L.A. number, sorry) is:

6 2 6   8 4 0    6 5 2 4

It was certainly a pleasure meeting my fellow Forum members on Sunday night after the Arlington Guitar Show. I suppose Graham Griffiths and Peter Levett would be considered the guests of honor, having traveled so far to be there. Pictures were taken, so hopefully when people get home again, they will be posted here. I had prior commitments this weekend, so I only spent one afternoon at the show. Unfortunately, the hotel bar's beer selection left a lot to be desired (not a proper brew in the house) and I couldn't hang around for dinner. Hopefully, we can do better next year and show some real Texas hospitality to all Forum visitors who come in for the show. Plan on it!

A couple of Brit forumites at the Dallas Guitar Show this last weekend: Graham Griffiths (left) & Pete Levett (right) with me on Saturday. We were joined by Scott Jennings & Randy Zimmerman on Sunday night.
