Another scam of MY bass

Post by bob_atherton »

Just 2 hours ago I bought this bass on Ebay, & now it's here as yet another scam. Is there no way that we can stop this?

PS looking forward to getting into fretless....

Hey, congrats on the bass Bob...That BIN of $999 tempted me too. It looks a very nice bass.

Bob, I can't believe all the scam auctions from China on ebay at the moment. Mind you, I could be tempted with some of the "buy it now" prices (NOT). Surely no one with any sense would bid/buy!

I have friends in China so I emailed the guy to see what city he lives in. Did I get a response?

Ebay used to be such a fun and fairly safe way to buy items. It's degenerated into something everyone must be extra cautious of everytime you even think of buying something. I've heard so many horror stories it's now downright scarey.

Bob, contact the seller of the original item and have him/her register a complaint with eBay (there's an infernal form to complete, stating that ones auction has been copied). Unfortunately, eBay doesn't allow anyone but the original seller to report such fakes.

The lack of anti-scam diligence on the part of eBay is my biggest complaint against them. I know if I ran the company, such wrong-doers would have a visit from someone like Luka Grazzi (probably mispelled the name) ...

Thanks guys, and sorry Sean if you were after it as well. Really looking forward to getting my hands on it.It kind of has an understated look to it which will be perfect for my low key jazz gigs.
