Please list in this thread any amps you plan on bringing to the Mid-Atlantic Rick fest on Nov. 5th.

We want a good variety to play through, but want to avoid numerous duplicates of the same model.

To start things off, I'm bringing an AC30 HW and a home built AC30 copy w/ and EF86 Preamp.

The way I see it for the moment is that the amps will be at the back of the room, but this is subject to change of course. Instruments will line 3 sides of the room in a terraced-fashion, with the 'try-me-out' area in the back of the room...where the amps will be.

REMEMBER to bring as many stands as you can muster. Someone has told me that they can help out with bringing stands, but to be thorough try to bring as many with you as you have instruments.

I can bring a Kustom TRB400 head with a 4x10 and 2x15 cabinet. It should bring back fond memories for those who love the old tuck and roll finish.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

I decided to not cart my cumbersome amp since I doubt that it gets quiet enough for use in a hotel setting (just the hiss alone is loud) but I am going to bring my pedalboard so people can check out the Fulltone Bassdrive and Demeter compressor....along with some other "lesser" stompboxes.
I'll have an extra stand or two as well.

Just as a comment: at the SoCalCon, there was a lot more talking and looking than playing, in spite of the fact that we had a lot of amps sitting around. One thing, though, is that we didn't have the amps set up in an arrangement that was necessarily user-friendly, so it sounds like you have thought that aspect out better than we did in our rookie season!

Also, you can't have too many stands, and you will need to figure out places to put the empty cases while the guitars are on display (on Saturday we had 94 guitars on display, meaning 94 cases!).
It is better, of course, to know useless things than to know nothing. - Seneca

Thanks for your input Gary. The room is pretty much square (31'X 26') and will have 6' tables lining 3 sides of the room. Each table should hold 4-5 guitars on their stand....once the tables are full the second tier will begin at floor level in the same fashion. I envision most of the cases to be stored under the tables. It seems to work in theory..LOL!! We'll find out soon!

Just as a note....it probably wouldn't hurt if everyone would take a few minutes to label their cases/stands. Not that I'm worried about any intentional shananigans but one Ric case looks like every other one and I'm sure plenty of us have the same stands and it would just make it easier when everything gets intermingled.

Actually it would probably work out OK for me if someone accidently packs up my stuff since a few of my stands don't fold properly and my cases have seen better days........

I'll also be bringing a voodoo labs amp selector. It's a great toy for switching between up to four amps.

Other amps I COULD bring if people want to hear them:

'79 Hiwatt DR504 head w/ 2X12 cab.
'64 Gibson Hawk combo
home built GDS 18 Watt (Marshall Copy) head w/ 2x12 cab.

I was planning on bringing my SWR Redhead, but I'd just as soon leave it home if no one really needs it there.
