Hi, I see you guys talking about Horshoes, what are they and were they ever stock on Ric Basses?

Horseshoe refers to the magnet that is wraped around the bridge pick up on vintage 4001s up until the early 70's. These are identified by a split in the pick up "cover" between the A and D strings.

Hi Scott, they are also found on the vintage reissue 4001v63 and they will fit into the bridge pickup cavity on a 4003. You can still buy the horseshoe pickup separately for $150.
