Dave Hey Noticed that photo you posted! I see the Azureglo is right up front! Man It seems weird to see it in someone else's home! Looks like it has a nice one though and some friends to play with.
That 4-2-5 your planning; after I did my first one with the tuners on the correct sides but not redrilled and spaced quite like the S-5's. I did another with a high C and did the plugs and redrilled and refinished and I found the refinishing work on the head stock was not as hard as I had thought. So I am am going back to my first conversion and respace the tuners. these look absolutely fantastic when done with the exact spacing.
Just what I wanted 5 strings and triangle inlays with body binding! fast fast fast basses.
Just letting you know it's worth the extra effort.
Still getting used to that fretless!

That's funny Dane; So far, other than experimenting with some songs, I have found no real solid use for this C string. Heart Of T. S. sounds better when doing the parts where Chris slides up and cheats the next octave on the standard Ric. You can play the full piece instead of dropping down. Ya know as much as Chris played up on these frets you would think he would have been a big advocate of these style 5 string basses.
I had an old Kodak digital Camera but it has ******* out. A new one is soon to come, so I will shot all my basses again as soon as I get it.
I can tell you that dam C.V. gives me a headache when I use it even with a respirator!

It looks pretty balanced. The top straps go over the shoulders & down to the opposite strap button, & they're joined in the middle of the back with a sliding joint. Click guitar or bass then click the picture of the guy playing & it shows a detail view. Might be kind of awkward to get in/out of. I'm still finding the wide standard strap awkward for the 4080. It digs into my neck when I make a grab for the guitar neck. I think I'll order one of these straps(don't tell the wife, I'm not allowed to spend any more $).
Plus five minus five!
