Quote - "modified in the spirit of a Rickenbacker"..

It most certainly is! "Hot rod" sums it up nicely! I LIKE it! But then 4000s are growing on me anyway...kind of stripped down and ready to rock!

I think we should have a section at MARC for the "modded" instruments so that they can stand out from the crowd. We'll call it the VIP area.

Here is one that will go there:

That woodgrain is awesome, Jeffrey! That should be one very proud maple tree.

And Marc... if your 4000 sounds as good as it looks...
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

I'll let you know about the sound when it's set up..One thing's for sure, before I dismantles it, the action was excellent. I hope it comes back to life like that.

Marc, I admit, I was one of the "conformists" saying: "Don't refinish, leave it as is" but you won! This is a hell of a good looker and I bet it'll sound good too. Thumbs up!

At the time I never thought I'd own a CS. When it's finished, it'll look something like Squire's bass with one pickup.

Maybe I was premature posting shots before it's complete. It'll be done by next Saturday for sure.
