Where is my Ser. # on 4003?

Where is my Ser. # on 4003?

Hi guys, I see the number on the input jack, but where is the Serial #?

Should be on each edge of the jackplate.
(short edges)

Two letters on one end, numbers on the other end.
Last few years, year on one end('00,'01,'02)
What's on your jackplate?

OK the top Letters are UO and the bottom numbers are 5549. I have a feeling that this bass is not a 2001.

U is Aug. & O is '97.

If I followed the Ser # page correctly, I think I have a August 1997 4003? Right?

Yeah, thanks Tim, I found it too. I was told it was a 2001. Looks like it coudlbe from the condition, but now I know for sure.
