This 1960 4000 FG also was at the Dallas Show. Although no one was really interested in it I thought I'd get some pix of it and with me playing it:

Wow Mike that was quick work! I've just landed. Great to see you again and a real pleasure to meet DC Olson, what a nice guy. Great to see Scott Jennings again. The last time we met (some 15 years ago) I had to give him $7,000! - Oh but he did give me three of the best Ricks on the planet in return! Good to meet Randy on Sunday - a shame you could make it out for dinner - as you say, maybe next time?

Thanks again for your hospitality Mike! And that bass suits you! I'll try and post some pics of my own soon.

Graham - Don't have much information yet, but, Scott & Theresa were hit by a drunken driver after leaving dinner Sunday night. They went to the hospital and their condition is fine. The Jeep is totaled. Neither drivers have insurance.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I had just met Scott and Theresa for the first time that evening, and they are such nice people. Luckily, it sounds like they escaped without serious injury. When I got home from the show on Sunday night, a friend called to see if I saw any great guitar deals. I told him that the guitar show was hardly worth the price of admission, but I met a great bunch of Forum members afterwards.

Yawn, Just got home, my new 620/12 has all "opened by the US customs" tape round the carton, I daren't look in yet to see what they have done!. It was great to meet Mike, Scott and Randy (plus DC too of course.)and put faces to names. Mike and DC certainly kept Graham and me under their wings for the weekend and made sure that we were OK. I will post some photos later when I get unpacked. Really sorry to hear about Scotts accident, I hope that all is well for both him and Theresa. Pity about the show though, it was cr*p as far as lefties were concerned!

Had a look now, I don't know why they opened the end of the carton as they hadn't taken the case out as it was still wedged and sealed the way I put it in! Most odd!!!

Glad to see everyone else made it home safe.

We were hit by a drunk driver on the way home after picking up Theresa's daughter and a friend. We were waiting to make a left turn and he hit us at 40MPH plus while trying to pass us on the left... We went to the hospital, the other driver went to jail.

I got to ride in an ambulance taped to a board for the first, and hopefully last, time. So that was fun. We all got CAT scans, and none of us has any cats, apparently. Apart from minor concussions, whiplash, and a lot of bruises we are all ok.

His car went under us, and the tow kit stopped him from flipping us. He did manage to bend the frame, so our car is a total loss. You can see the closed driver's side passenger door isn't...

It's hard to see in the image. but the gas tank is pushed in.

We don't yet know if the other driver is insured. He was too drunk to produce ID or proof of insurance. He was driving a new car, so it's likely he did. I pick up a copy of the police report today to find out. We didn't have 'uninsured motorist' coverage, although I have since taken care of that...

Now would be a good time to get something a little more fuel efficient, but that can still haul my instruments around.

Scott: Glad to hear everyone's okay and that none of you had any cats (because that would be just plain weird). It's a shame about the Jeep, but obviously everything could have been much worse. Hopefully the other driver won't be on the road for a while. Although liability insurance is required in Texas, there are lots of uninsured motorists, so we get to pay extra. I would expect a newish car to be insured. It's the raggedy old bombers that you really have to stay away from. Good luck getting things straightened out.

Scott, I'm glad to hear that you all are OK. Graham and I really enjoyed meeting you both (although Graham had met you before). I have cats, it isn't too painful - except when they stick their claws it! We got home OK apart from my hand luggage being swabbed for explosives and my 620/12 being opened and re-sealed by US customs. At least I didn't get a rubber glove up my ....!!!

Ying Yang is the phrase I think. Glad you're both OK Scott.
