Glen,

is your Hamilton stand (the one your white bass is on) from the 60's or is it a newer version?

huh! no clue. I can check when i get home, but I always thought of it as "that cheap, collapsible one". I think I got it in the 70's or 80's though. it's pretty flimsy.

Glenn,

They were one of the premier stands in the early 60's. I have one. They were a very sturdy stand in their day. Yours is probably quite old as well. They do still make them BTW. This is funny but I also have a white 4001 bass. My bass was made in 1976.

well, all i can tell is that it does in fact say "It's A Hamilton" on the front plate (including quotation marks!?). Good eye!

Say, it has a few spots of rust, and the feet are missing off of the front two legs, but I'm willing to let it go for $2.89 plus $1499.95 shipping, if you're interested! *grin*

Not bad for a guy that wears glasses to muck around on the computer eh?

I'll pass on your "generous" offer. LOL

But Brian, I had that sale earmarked for a 12-string!

Chris and Jeff: cheers! Mine is a 1993. I have heard that they made another white in 1999, but i've no confirmation. Does RIC cycle color-of-the-year colors in and out depending on the year, or is it a gut feeling that makes the decision? I'm guessing the latter/ad-hoc.

No we don't cycle the color of the year. I assure you the color of the year for 2006, canary yellow, was a gut decision!
