So I go there to look at this bass, and I look at the reviews. Anyone care to guess who wrote THIS review?

I left off the name and state so you could guess.

The 4004L is a really nice bass. It is a little different than the 4001/4003. It has humbucking pickups. It does not sound good through little cheap amps. But through a bigger more powerful amp it kicks ... it is a good bass for recording. It doesn't have as much treble bite as the 4003, but it has a nice growl and mid punch. Nice smooth neck and sleek body. It is a little lighter than the 4003. It does not have the obsolete bridge mute or the stereo sound that the 4003 has. Overall I like my 4003 a little better, but this bass is a close second.
