Other than the neck having the finish removed and the machine heads changed to more recent ones, it looks nice, looks like mine.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Yes, Jetglo is my least favorite finish, but the checkerboard binding sure stands out, and looks pretty on black.

If that was Fireglo I would have pulled the trigger long ago.

Sorry, if I am going 'old school', I am going ALL the way, if there are no MOP fret markers, I am not in.

Looks nice, but are the bridge/tailpiece assembly legit? Is that of Japanese origin? Sergio?

That bridge/tailpiece assembly is legit and period-correct. I believe both the 'old-style' b/t assembly, the 'screw-top' treble pickup and the full-width fretboard markers were the first 'desirable features' to be discontinued back in April/May 1973. The last were the old-style nameplate, the toaster p.u., and the block binding.

Sergio: is this one legit to then? My 1975 4001. I tought this was a Japan made tailpiece. I can´t see the difference between these two

probably had something to do with you posting about it here. As discussed in previous threads... people watch and listen... and buy based on what we say.

Hi Frode. I remember discussing your '75 4001 some months ago. The bridge/tailpiece assembly on is not legit. It is either of Japanese origin or an Allparts er... part. The shape of the string holes gives it away as a copy, as do those shiny saddles. And if you try to install that saddle block on a real Rick b/t assembly, it simply will not fit.

Ok thanks again Sergio. I have kept all off the answers I got from you about it. I learned a lot of you. But I still think the bridge assembly does look a lot like the other one on this thread exept for the shiny saddles. You´ve right as usual:-)

I also did get some mails from mr. Mark Arnquist. He told me a lot of interesting thinks about my rick. He told me who did the routing, painting an so one.
