Well I'm not worried about anyone but myself noticing the tuners actually. I just like the way the smaller washer grommet thingy looks.

But yeah, it's not a big deal or anything, whenever ric sells the tuners seperate, I'll just get them. Ideally I'd just be able to get the washer, just what is that thing called?

Does anyone know?

Kluson,Is still around you might be able to call and see if they still carry that size.

Rickenbacker put them on the new c64 4001 but they don't sell them separately.

Kluson's TRADEMARK is still around, having been obtained and/or reregistered a few years back by WD. But the company itself is long gone, along with any manufacturing in the U.S. by the actual company selling the product.

What would I ask a machine shop to do exactly?

Mr. Hall, do you see anytime when RIC would sell these as a part, or the tuners as a part?

Haha! Scott, you're a worse poser than I am!

Bloody nice bass, though. Hope you'll gig it!

Macs won't make an image file under 50k or so, despite the source file size so I can't upload it. Grrrrrrr

I'll gig it for sure.

Scott, yes Macs will! I'm on a Mac and do it all the time. What you need is to save the file without an image preview and icon. If you are using Photoshop, use the Save For Web option. Set it for medium compression in the JPEG option.

Nice 4001CS, Scott! Reminds me of the one I used to own. NJ Guitar & Bass Centre has one for sale for $3K+ (looks very lived-in); yours is much cleaner - enjoy!!
