For the last 2 weeks i have had only intermittant contact with the AGR as it does not come up all the time .When it does it gets to about 25 messages ,then deletes itself.
Any thoughts?

Is this just because I'm in the Evil Empires back yard?
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!

Mark: Thanks for your comment. I am not sure whether you are writing because you consider this problem to be an asset or a liability, however, I will assume the latter. In my view, newsgroups are far from efficient and the daisy-chain process by which information gets sent along from one server to another is anything but perfect. Depending on the usage of systems your post may not get posted at all or take a day or two. Your second post may get posted long before your first for example. Add to that your own modem and ISP variability and many unexpected outcomes can and will result. Use the catch up feature on your browser and cross your fingers. I suspect that your difficultly is well beyond your control. This is one of the many reasons why I have introduced the "The Rickenbacker Forum" as you are able to see when your message is posted and you also have someone to complain to who is able to make a difference if you make an error. Also you are not at the mercy of some ISP as to whether the service will be continued. I don't know if I have answered your question but it has been fun! May the "FORCE OF THE FORUM" be with you. Happy Birthday AGR! I've essentially been a lurker since almost the beginning three years ago, and this group has provided quite a bit of useful information, as well as much fascinating reading. Here's to many more years!

It's great so far -- all the knowledge of the old hands, John Hall's contact with the group, and the general jangle of Ricktalk.

My New Rick Year Resolution is that I get a Rick 12 this year.

Long may the Chimes Of Rickdom clash.

Best wishes! Thanks to all involved. I've learned so much from this group - I hope it continues to be as welcoming, informative, and (Poshdemon, etc. aside!) civilized for another 3 to 30 janglin' years down the Rickenbacker Road.

Peace to all!
