Shaun, I was a serious work out nut too, so the one can of tuna and the protein shakes were part of a daily balanced diet...Or, so I thought...

My hair started falling out, I was really tired all the time and my short term memory..(what was I talking about..Image?) Oh, went to pieces...I had some personality traits that were not really me, and finally one of my clients said I should go and get checked. I was always aware of the mercury/tuna connection but underestimated it considerably.

I had blood work done and there it was...I don't have a filling of any kind in my mouth BTW.

Ken, I have been on a Chlorella and Cilantro diet for over a year..(Boy, am I green) and have not had tuna for over 18 months. No more hair falling out, no tiredness, (just came back from a good 5K run against a 25mph wind) and normal service on the memory has returned...

Spread the word!

That's a great story ... I am a big suppliment fan ... I used coral calcium and other supplements to beat back a severe case of rheumatoid arthritis ... I had it so bad I could hardly walk or play my bass ... but now I have reduced the symptoms 95% and I feel great ...

Keep in mind that contrary to popular opinion, too much protein is not good for you! Also to be utilized by your system you need to complete the amino acid chain.

Let us also not forget that besides the obvious toxins such as mercury and lead, that might end up in canned foods, we are also being poisoned by exposure to gasses leaching from plastics and other materials used in things such as mattresses, food additives, and then of course we have the global pollution, greenhouse gasses, and the vanishing ozone layer...

We are poisoning the fish tank that we live in! Swim away! Oh, wait... we can't... :-\

Wasn't there something about how the "new car smell" is actually toxic gases seeping out of the new plastics in new car interiors?

Mmmm . . . smell the freshness . . .*gack*

Hmmm! Wise words David, wise words indeed!

Ken, having spent 2 and 1/2 years working in a hospital, I'm fully aware of the impact of HIV on the world community and fully support any efforts to enlighten; it's just I've generally found that even innocent jokes about it can often rattle cages (no ape puns please! Ouch....!) with it being such a potentially sensitive subject. However I'm happy to see anyone debunk such myths.

Andrew, I'd put all those symptoms down to the onset of old age and senility Image ; maybe there's hope yet! It's certainly something I shall keep an eye on in future. Many thanks for the info.

I don't want to totally get off the beaten path but I guess its too late

Up until last year I had been taking Viox for joint pain with no side effects whatsoever and I have two incurred artery's one thats 95% blocked. I would be more likely to have a heart attack then anyone. This woman sues Mercer and is awarded [for her husbands death]over $200 million supposedly caused by Viox.I know it was BS ,And now the only anti inflammatory that help relieve my joint pain is gone.

Its all a joke.A sick one at that, dealing with our crooked FDA all the way a long. Its all about "MONEY".

I haven't heard that one before. And, of course, it is a truth in many instances...
