Beigeing, ecruing or elephanting finish

Is there ANY way I can stop the finish of my 360 from yellowing other than hiding it in its case?
I just don't like it to yellow like this. The guitar is 11 years old now and the binding already looks like a cream binding on a Les Paul.
Also the nice 'pink' maple in the middle of the fireglo is turning orange

Wim, you can't prevent yellowing, not even by keeping it in its case 105% of the time.

Eventually it will mellow into a beautiful darker FG, and you'll be glad it did, because you will have mellowed, too...

I definitely agree. If there's some overspray of the red into the middle of a fireglo finish (into what *should* be natural maple looking) just looks like a "quick" unprofessional job to me.

OK before I get flamed here, I just mean that In My Opinion. Meaning that I think the coolest looking Fireglo finishes go from red on the outer edges, to fading into a mix of red and natural, to pure natural in the middle. And if some of that red sprays tiny dots over the whole middle part too, then, to me, it wasn't done quite right.

As for the clearcoat yellowing over time - that just adds to the coolness factor. I wouldn't have my FG guitar any other way. The natural maple sections (with no overspray of red) are golden brown and the binding is nicely yellowed too. Of course, my guitar is 13 years old so I had no control over (or idea of) whatever the previous owner put it through. The thing is georgeous to me and that's all that matters.

If I'd have bought a brand new "Pinkglo" (and I almost did) I'd be waiting anxiously for the day it'd start to look like the one I got.

Though the silver Tolex cases have maximum coolness factor, mais certainment...
