Looking at the forum home page and seeing the Mid Atlantic get together advertised.

this will be the biggest and bestest Rickenbacker event of all time!

I'm looking more and more forward to it everyday......can't wait!

It may not be the "bestest" since we won't get a tour of the Ric factory.....but it seems like the turnout will be fantastic so that should make up for it. Image

Jeffrey: Thanks for asking but I am on a treadmill, from which I cannot get off, at present.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Come on Peter, you have to go. We can set up a tread mill for you in VA. Image

We'll set up an obstacle course, guitars and basses everywhere that you have to run around them and then you have to shimmy under a bunch of steel guitars on your way to bench pressing two 4080s! That has got to be better than a treadmill any day. On your way through the course you can stop and play an instrument which will give your fingers a workout, too.

All of these Rick Confluences have been set up by dedicated individuals through this network. I'd love to see more (don't know how many I can do). Hope some day to have one in the Chicago/Milwaukee area too. Maybe I can set that up someday.

Hopefully we can have a Minnesota (Twin Cities?) one sometime this year--There are at least 3 of us Minnesotans on this Forum.... How many Forumites might be interested in coming to one in the Cities?

A Milwaukee area one might work for me sometime, as I have relatives in that area--I could probably persuade my hubby that we need to visit his parents in conjuction with a Ric Confluence! Image

If the timing's right, I wouldn't mind the 700 mile drive up there. Why don't we move it to Chicago, effectively making is more central?

Then I can coerce my Minnesota friend to meet me in the middle! Not to mention, it IS the finest city in our great nation.

I think the C.M.E. still has TWO F model Rics in stock. Priced around the $5 - 6K range. They are things of beauty.
