4001C64FG Question for John Hall

Post by rickfan63 »

I've heard that the C64S basses will ship soon. Is there any chance that the regular C64FG might ship soon too?

Both of these models have been shipping in quantity for, what- a year or more now? There's still plenty of open dealer orders, to be sure, but surely some dealers have stock.

Thanks Mr. Hall. I've got one on order from Mike Parks. I'm just excited to get it when he gets it in. It will be a nice addition to my V63 and my 4003.

I know Ken! I have a V63 with a nice slim neck. I am looking forward to getting that C64. I've never had one in Fireglo before, although by all indications it will be a while. I'm not really expecting mine until after the first of the year, if then. We'll see though.

My bass arrived last Thursday, just as I was leaving my house to play at a worship conference. Truly a wonderful instrument!!

Great timing! Was it a "grab and go", Gerry or did you wait till you got home to play it?

Honestly, Chris, I saw it at Rudy's Music Stop in NYC in late June (didn't try it out, though) and called about it in late September. It was still available at a third off retail (!), so I placed a deposit over the phone and paid the balance by mail about 10 days later. Buying it this way saved me from paying NYC sales tax (8.75%).

As I mentioned before in the "Bass" Forum, I was on my way out the door to play at a big worship conference when the UPS man arrived with my bass, so I played it straight out the box and I was quite pleased. I played it through my SWR Workingman's 15 combo with a line out to the board and it was FAT! The service was recorded live; I wish I could have gotten a copy.Image

It's funny how when the C series basses came out, there were kinda mixed feelings on the reverse headstock. Now it's kinda grown on folks(well speaking for myself, anyway)

Nice photos, Gerry! Mine should arrive around the end of the year. It's also a Fireglo.

Marc, let the interest increase. That means the values will jump when production stops.

I know, I'm a capitalist pig.
