MAAS Metal Polish at my local Ace Hardware

Post by doctorwho »

Just a note to those wanting to try out the highly recommended MAAS metal polish; I found it in 2-ounce tubes at a local (Irvine CA) Ace Hardware store. I don't know whether this is a national thing or just local, but it might be worth checking on.

I figure that if I really like it, then I'll get a larger quantity through the MAAS website.

I've long been a fan of NEVR-DULL wadding (blue can). It has a hydrocarbon solvent that really cuts through crud on older guitars. It also is available from most larger hardware stores.

Gary: You can probably get your Zymol there too!

Ace Hardware does not carry Zymol. Har.

Paul: Are you saying that Ace is not the place?

Maas, Wenol & Flitz are all excellent and basically the same polishing compound in three different tubes by 3 different companies, and all are excellent for exactly this purpose.

Mass, Wenol & Flitz.... there's a law firm name for you.

Wenol, Hope, Islost would rank right up there with the (in)famous Dewey, Cheatem & Howe. There was a law firm (for real) in San Diego by the name of Lyon & Lyon, always cracked me up hearing that name ... Image
