You've got a Desert Gold finish - good man! Very nice choices of models and colours. I've always thought the 340's looked neat.

The third pickup? I don't know why exactly...
It seemed to add murky tones to the 12 string, but it really shines on the 340DG and the 1997. No reason, just another facet of the Ric sound. I would still like to see a 5-way switch (or 7-way!) on my gold 340. Maybe reverse wiring on the center. I have reservations about monkeying with the electronics however.

Sometimes the 360 seems to have a bit more air in the sound, while the 3 pickup models seem more vibrant.
Now for a 360F and a 730C Comstock FG.

Shiraz: Nice collection indeed. I would encourage you to modify the electronics on the Model 1997 or Model 340 such that the fifth knob becomes the volume potentiometer for the middle pickup. This will give you the ability to use any pickup combination and if you don't like the results (which I doubt) you can always put it back to the original wiring quite easily. In any event, you won't hard the guitar and your changes, should you decide to sell, will be transparent to the buyer.

I'll likely be buried with the 1997! Nice points Peter; maybe a push-pull pot on the 5th knob to do the trick.
I prefer the upper tier of scratchplate on the 3 pickup models. They're more graceful without the extra bit jutting upwards toward the strings.
I have often considered trimming the one on my 360V64.
I would also like a coil-tap on the bridge pickup on the 650A (which, after a long sojourn, I have been playing a lot lately).
