Bass Pod XT Live...

Post by brentsimons »

Hey Guys,
After much deliberation, I picked up one of these
babies. So far so good. Jeff you really need to check one out. The Amp 360 is so much more "lifelike" than the original bass pod. I'll give you guys more info soon.

Ya ... I really want one of those ... it looks like they improved it ... plus combining the pod and the foot controller into one seems to be a good idea ...

the amp 360 with distortion is such a cool model ... I know a guy around here who has a pre cbs p-bass and a working Acoustic 360 amp in his basement ...

I got one of these when they first came out. While I haven't really integrated it into my live rig, I've been very impressed with it.

My biggest gripe is that there still isn't a version of line 6 edit that works with it. There's a 3rd party editor, bassmith that works with it

It's built like a tank, btw.

Hey John,
Yeah I hear ya about the editor. What a pain!
I'm also a little dissapointed because first I had the original bass pod and floorboard, then I bought the new bass pod xt with a floorboard all the time wondering when Line 6 would just integrate a floorboard with the kidney bean so you didn't have to worry about that little sucker falling off your amp. So hundreds of dollars later I have one. I hate having GAS. I wondering what they will release next week?

I never got into deep editing ... there is enough complexity with the basic product ... and enough options ...

Bassmith is a great program. I use it to mainly tweak what the pedals do on the floorboard. I have 2 PODxt Pros and a Bass PODxt Pro. They are fantastic live and perfect for recording. The xt versions blow the older version away. I still prefer the xt Pro version with the shortboard for live stuff.
