Please put the walnut wings checkerboard binding and pearl inlays on a 4003,wow now that would be a 4003v68.

I wonder if the walnut wings on 4003's is one of these proposed changes? Not that the lack of them is a supposed "design flaw".

Am I the only person on earth who dislikes walnut wings? the parallel lines don't mix well with the cresting wave contour and the elegant TRC, and to me the contrasting woods look like something that should be hidden under the paint, and for transparent finishes maple wings should be used. Just MHO - I know you all must hate me now!

Now Ilan....I wouldn't call it "hate"...Image

IMHO, the walnut wings have their place.....any translucent color or mapleglo.

Walnut wings on a 4003 would be the bee's knees ... there again if I ruled the world, everything would be Fireglo !!!

Here's a vote for walnut wings on a 4003.

ESPECIALLY on the translucent finishes and mapleglo!

I've always thought that the 4003 was "missing" something...no skunk stripe...no walnut wings...so I prefer the solid colors for a 4003.

I think walnut wings would give the 4003 a little more character.

A 4003 mapleglo with the stripe and wings... that'd be amazing. They're too 'clean' looking without them. They need the contrast. Plus having that vintage look with the stronger neck and better trussrods... *drools*.

The 'skunk' AND the walnut wings would be too much I think.

There's no such thing as design flaws, they're really only undocumented features.

Walnut wings are definitely one of the prettiest things, I think, about Rics. I mean, Rics are gorgeous anyway, but the wings just add something . . . extra. If I had my way, I'd bring back the "S" option, and then immediately order a 4003S mapleglo. It would be beautiful.
