Get rid of the pickguard, put a TRC on it, and put in less horrendous knobs (and a pickup selector switch). The pickups can stay . . . they might sound nice, and they don't look bad. The bridge can stay too, I guess. If it had been completely destroyed to begin with before it had been modded, I'd be all for it.

Thing is, Joey knows what he wants, and he's a heck of a player. Top guy too. He told me he loves the Rick shape, and he likes the necks, but he doesn't like Rick pickups. As for the scratchplate, if you saw Manowar's image, it might make more sense.....

and if you saw how he plays bass it makes total sense. that thing NEEDS that scratch plate on it.

Same here Sean, I can't get into Manowar.

...and THIS Joey loves RIC pickups.
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

First time I saw them was in 84, and I went with a friend fully expecting them to be awful. I absolutely loved it. At that time it was the most fun concert I'd seen; sort of Spinal Tap plays Ennio Morricone Image. Obviously they're not everyone's cup of tea, although I don't think they take themselves quite as seriously as some seem to think they do...
