Sell these pickups or keep them?

Post by octagon »

I recently installed a pair of toasters on my 1983 and I really don't think I will ever put the original HiGains back on so I was wondering if I should sell them or keep them. How much do you think these would sell for on Ebay?they are a little different than newer Higains in both apperance and sound. Here are some pictures:

Mitch: How about letting us know the resistance in KOhms for each pickup.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

get a voltage/ampere/ohm meter from someone and measure the resistance between the two ends of the wires on the pickups.

You could sell 'm for probably $150?
Or you could include a picture of your guitar in the auction, say it's only the pup's but get some fool to bid $800 on it?

Is this a voltage/ampere/ohm meter? How do you use it? I bought it Goodwill for $3.00 but I have never used it.

Set the right knob to 'ohm' and the left to 'x1000'
and connect the two wires each with a different end of the pickup lead
If it doesn't move you'll probably need a new battery
