He's had that posted before. I had e-mailed him about it and he categorically says it's Azureglo. It does look a bit more "purple" in some of the pics. If I were really interested in it, I'd take one of my MID 620s with me and compare the finishes side-by-side.

According to the timeline on Park's site Az ended in 85. Mid started in '85. Now I do believe the timeline could be a bit off because I've see Ruby's later than 84. I picked up an Ruby 86 620/12 at the factory, brand new. However I don't think the time is off by 6 years. The question is, is it metallic or non-mettalic? I've seen pics of dark AZ's but my 80Az 4001 is lighter than 02 620MID. The biggest different in the metallic paint. My guess is MID. I've never see an AZ/BT combo either.

There is no way that is azureglo ... first of all Ric did NOT offer Azureglo in 1991 ... secondly unless you are color blind it is obviously Midnight Blue ... the freaking emperor is nothing more than a greedy liar out to sell Rics for more than they are worth ... he has no love for the instruments and no interest in telling the truth ... and his racist views are documented elsewhere on this forum ...

Definitely midnite blue. He'd be better advertising it as such, seeing as Mid Blu was a great color and Azureglo was fugly.

For my #1000 post, I'll attach a pic of my dream bass, that I lifted from Bjorn Eriksson's site, a '75 Azureglo with the ½" spacing. Isn't she perfect?
