I know the 381V69's are not made this way, but was this common on the originals?? It may be special due to its reported connection to the NAMM show....very neat piece....

My '69 has the same type of heel:

It's a lot more noticeable on mapleglow though.
The heel on the EBAY guitar looks a bit more square- but I've noticed that all original 381s seem to be pretty unique.
The asking price of the EBAY 381 is $5000.00 at the shop- don't know if they've lowered it any for EBAY. I wouldn't mind another one.
