320 Question
Hello,
I haven't ever seen or played a real 320 before and I was wondering if the guitar is solid body, or semi-hollow. I was just wondering as I've seen pictures of 320's with f-holes.
Thanks,
Sam Novak

Gary - That 320 definitely was beautiful! I kind of did the opposite from you though - I sold my early '70's Les Paul Deluxe goldtop to buy a jetglo 320 with an f-hole back in 1980. But looking at yours, I'm thinking I had a 2:00 f-hole in mine. I don't remember now, and it's long gone anyway. Still miss both those guitars though.
My ex-father in law used to have a '55 Les Paul that was all gold, with P-90's and it played/sounded heavenly. Quite rare. A lot of the finish was worn off the neck and (in the early '80's) I had to convince him to leave it that way - he wanted to send it to Gibson for a refinish!
It eventually got sold some years after he died, but I'll always remember how he told me he paid $75 for it in 1957 or so.

Thanks for the update, Ken. I thought I remembered seeing him put the 320 up for sale after he did the mods, which I thought looked great on it.
I still have his phone number, so maybe I'll give him a call some time and shoot the breeze.

I can't help but post a pretty picture of my '81 320JG whenever "320" is mentioned!
