Howard...it wasn't an "even up" trade, bass for bass.

Bob made out very well, too!

Dale does tremendous work.

Thanks, Dale...

Your experience with Rickenbackers and keen eye is evident on this bass...it's so helpful and nice to have people like you , Paul W. and others like that around here....

Congrats Chris! Are you gonna tell us which 4005 you had to give up too (just guessing!).

BTW, I love my maple-glo 4002 but (and don't every repeat it in front of my bass) I do prefer the walnut finish!

Hey I've got a bass for sale up on eBay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Made-Destroy ... dZViewItem

... anyone interested in taking it towards a Walnut 4002?

I am wondering if they ever made a left-handed 4002... In all my years of owning a Rickenbacker, I don't think I've ever seen one.

Unless they are part of the pallet at the factory.Image

They sound sweet no matter which color. Hell, one of each would be a good way to find out for sure!

See, Dave? The 4002 fairy is going to visit you soon...but you MUST be good! Image

Neither 4005 was harmed during this transaction!! It was strictly the Shadow(formerly Kendalls) and $$$$ for the 4002.

I must say, I miss having my Shadow family....but I'll have others....someday....
