Quite rightly.
I'm still in the middle of "Liverpool Fantasy" and it's a hoot.

Just for the record...I know Allen Ginsberg coined the phrase 'best minds' in this context, but I don't mean to recall his work or his list of who might constitute such a category by using that phrase myself. I'm not thinking of 'famous leftists' like Rubin or Hayden...ridiculous sellouts in many ways. I have in mind people I've gotten to know over the years who, by virtue of having been drafted into 'serving our international interests' or persecuted for refusing to do so, were either driven out of the mainstream of American society, were jailed for years and had all chances of a 'normal' life robbed from them, or split out of disgust and on their own initiative. I could give lots of examples, but I don't know that it would change anyone's already made-up mind. In addition, there's the amount of human talent and potential that was sacrificed on the jungle-choked altar of American arrogance and greed that never got the chance to participate or flee...and those who may have lived through it, but were so damaged physically and emotionally that our vaunted 'quality of life' was effectively removed from their list of options. We took a giant hit from within as a culture...so much so that thirty years later, an intelligent, articulate, bona fide war hero can't win an election running against a marginal dullard and his cigar-chomping oil baron 'handler', both of whom bought their way out of having to serve.
Bad grammar is the least of our worries, but it's an excellent indicator of how much we've lost, and continue to lose each day. When I look at the photos every night on Jim Lehrer's News Hour, I don't see dead soldiers...I see a continuation of our ongoing national disgrace and a wanton discarding of more of our 'best minds'...
But hey, enough of my yakkin'...let's boogie-oogie-oogie 'til we just can't boogie no more!

I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

left , right, liberal, conservative, doves, hawks, it does'nt matter I'd like to see the veil pulled off it all. Who all thinks that the Federal Reserve is federal and in fact a reserve?
It's all a scam job ..We're all getting our chains yanked by all sides.
But what the hell huh, what do we care if the Fed is a privately owned central banking system, who manipulates the monetary system for their gain.....Ok now, back to the Beatles, how many books do we need and how many ways can events be described? Where can I get a copy of this Liverpool Fanatasy? Seems that's the next step in capitalizing on them. Can have only so many retreads.

I think this thread has turned cynical.
Longhaired dachshunds are where it's at, everybody knows that!

Nope Shih Tzus are where it's at. Did I put that apostrophe in the right place? Yep I guess it's second nature to me.
Beatles? I don't suppose that we will ever get enough so called expert information about them to feed the ravenous horde of fans around the world. It's too bad some of that energy was not put to better use. But hey! we can't fix all of the problems of the world here so we talk about other things of interest that we may in fact have in common.
