Pickguard cracks

Post by kcole4001 »

Is there a safe adhesive to use on Rick pickguards? Both my '77 4001 & '81 4080 have stress cracks radiating from a neck pup height adjustment screw.

There is no way to fix these cracks. There are, of course, cements for acrylic plastics, of which the best is Weld-On 3, but you will not be able to seal these cracks by gluing them.

I'd suggest living with 'em or ordering a new set of guards.

Pickguardian is the way to go, then. Thanks, Paul.
