74 4001 to trade for a later 4001or 4003
I am looking for a good 4001 or 4003 ricky with a thin neck profile . I have a nice 74 4001 in mapleglo that i would like to trade . Im haveing trouble with the half inch pickup spacing . And i dont want to alter it as its an all original piece in really good shape .Grovers , Lucite . The neck is perfect with not even a wrench mark on the rods . It had a schaller roller bridge on it at one time . But no routs . It was screwed into the two original screw holes in the back . It also had a plastic surround like Geddys to cover the original bridge rout .So It has two tiny screw holes on either side of the bridge .Thank goodness it was'nt routed on.i have lots of pics . Let me know my fellow Rickenlovers

Well , I have a hard time popping and slapping with the half inch spacing also i think it has a little muddier tone with it as well . I think the one inch spacing has a little punchier tone . Otherwise than that i would'nt part with it . Its a real nice vintage bass .
