Save me from MYSELF!!
So, in the past few months I've REALLY become a Ric nut again. Who knows WHY it happens, but it does. :^>) I love my V63 and I think that it's forgiven me for not taking it out of its case for a few years as it's beginning to sound better again. My problem? I'm entertaining the thoughts of trying, yet again, to find a Ric 12! Ark!! It happens every time I watch an old Beatles film. Why can't I be happy with just Ric basses? Why do I continue to torture myself by purchasing an instrument that won't stay in tune and has a neck that's sooooo narrow that I can't get my tiny hands to form real chords with it? :^>) Is there a pill to make me immune?....I posted this here among my bass-playing, bottom dwellers as it's a well-known fact that we are the most wise and sensible of all musical creatures. I'm on bended knees. Does this disease afflict any of you?

ya quit messing around with those guitars ...
those short necks and skinny strings ...
they are wimpy instruments ...
get a bass ...
then you can generate low notes that shake the ground ... and women and children will run for cover ... the bass is so profound you do not need to play chords ... on a bass single notes are awesome all by themselves ...

Forgot to mention.
Ted, that's a nice house you have there. Just that room.. wow.. the rest of the place must be great.
And of the basses of yours that I want.. just the Blackstar, the Jetglo V63, and the 4004Ci.

I posted my family portrait to demonstrate my level of Rick-impulse control, or lack thereof.
The room in the picture is our library. It started off as two main floor bedrooms. The man who owned our house back in the 70's was a jesuit scholar who needed space for the order's library. He added 3 bedrooms in the second floor (formerly attic) and joined two of the first floor bedrooms to make the library. It is 33x14 and used to have free standing book shelves (removed by the previous owner) running nearly the width of the room from one end to the other. The house will be 90 years old in 2006.
