What do you think - A Ric in each annual color
I think I know what the answer is going to be from you folks on this forum, but...
I think I want to expand my collection of Rics by purchasing one instrument in each of the annual colors - That means one new Rickenbacker a year for me - an excellent goal to say the least! I'm thinking about starting with a Blueburst 660/12, and maybe pick up some of the old colors as they become available either on ebay or other places...
So, I know you guys would understand - Is this a worthwhile pursuit? I need your encouragement...

Consider beginning with an older COY. Otherwise you'd have to wait about 18 months to begin your collection with a newly-ordered BBR.

Good point Paul - What I was thinking was putting an order in for a Blueburst 660 now, which will take some time to arrive - meanwhile, I'd keep my open for am older color...
What do you think of the 660 Blueburst - do you think it looks good with the gold TRC and pick guard? I think jetglo and burgundyglo look sharp with the gold, but havn't made up my mind about the Blueburst...

Well, that's starting to get expensive, Melissa! Thanks for the input on the gold guard on the BBR. That was my feeling too - Not sure where to start - I already have a 4001v63 MG and a 4004LK. I want to start my COY with a guitar - maybe a 360/12 in BBR? I could get into that....
I wonder if John Hall will contact me concerning the discounts that would apply to being a member of the COY club. Maybe he doesn't have my correct email...

A COY club...now that would be pretty exclusive!
I've seen a DG Jeff & it just doesn't do it for me at all. I suppose that if you had all the colours though, you'd have to get one anyway. I don't entirely dislike BB, but I got a lot of stick from my band when I turned up with a 620BB!

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

That's because Carnivores think of themselves as macho, Tony, and BB is a bit Pet Shop Boys to some...

A COTY collection sounds like an expensive (but great) exercise. It would be interesting just to see how long it would take to source an instrument in each colour and note the approximate price - and then add it all up - I'm thinking a hearty "gadzooks!!" might be the result.....
I'd start with a Monty (330/6 or 620/6 would be nice) and probably stop there!!
