A semi acoustic that they think is a 4003..... shame it's not a Ric!

Before the auction is killed and we loose this beauty forever, let's save an archival copy.

That's probably the most highly customized Rick 4003 I've ever seen!

maybe that is the 75th anniversary model ... and that is the new bridge that JH was talking about and it sports the F-holes ... when I say f-hole I feel like I am swearing or something ... you gotta love the pickups on that baby ...

You crack me up Jeff!

Yeah, I'd say that this seller and all other Ebay scammers are a bunch of F-holes!

C'mon guys, give them a break. They corrected the listing:

"AN ERROR WAS MADE IN THE TITLE _ HERE IS THE REAL ITEM:

Rickenbacker 4001v63 Series Electric Bass Guitar"

Actually this was the auction it was scammed from...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rickenbacker-4003-Great-Condition-w-Natural-Finish_W0QQitemZ7363727736QQcategoryZ4713QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I nearly got the guy to close the auction for $650 the first night it went out. Then someone bid more just as he went to end it!

If you were in the LA area you could have had it for $550...

Well, it's an honest mistake you know . . . semi-hollowbody, white-glitter finish, single-cut Italia-brand bass is incredibly similar to a solidbody, cresting-wave horned, mapleglo 4001v63. Anybody could mix them up! If we had a side-by-side comparison, we would be able to point out just how similar (not) the two basses are!

Its really an Italia Maranello Z bass. A friend of mine sells them for $550. They are not a Ric, but still pretty nice.
